I have seen a report today on the Worksop Guardian’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Worksop-Guardian/137874882954923) that the County Council have bought a building on Newcastle Street and plan to use it as the site for a bus station in the town.

This is great news for Worksop and I am glad that the campaign that I & The Lib Dems have been leading is beginning to bear fruit. Whilst Newcastle Street wouldn’t be my choice of where a new Bus Station should go, I will wait until I have seen more detailed plans for the building and how it will effect traffic before I make any criticism of this plan.
