EMAS Reorganisation

by Leon Duveen on 14 August, 2012

Yesterday I wrote a letter to Phil Milligan, Chief Executive of EMAS asking for reassurances that the number of emergency response vehicles that will be normally stationed in Bassetlaw will  not change if the Ambulance Stations in Worksop & Retford are closed.  I have also asked the EMAS to provide the following information:

  • The list of all the TDP & Stand-by Points EMAS proposes to use and how may vehicles would normally be “on call” at each point.
  • As the East Midlands is a large area with major cities, market towns as well as rural villages & farming communities, a regular break down of average response times by postcode areas (preferably) or District Council areas so that it can be shown that everywhere in the region is getting a proper service.  This should start as soon as possible and continue after any re-organisation so any changes in response times in particular areas can be monitored.

As soon as I get a response, I will share it with you here.
