Building a Nottinghamshire for everyone

Nottinghamshire Liberal Democrats launch their Manifesto for the County Council Election in May this week. The Manifesto makes 14 commitments for what the Lib Dem want to achieve in Nottinghamshire over the next 4 years.

Headline policies include protecting Libraries & Sure Start Centres in the County and investing an extra £1 million in the County’s road system. They also committed to cutting Council bureaucracy and use the money saved to improve services for young

“We want to see a Nottinghamshire where all its citizens, from Misson on the Yorkshire border all the way down to Normanton on Soar next to Leicestershire, feel the Council is on their side and working hard for them without stifling their lives”, said
Leon Duveen, Chair of Nottinghamshire Lib Dems, “Our Manifesto shows our priorities in what we will be trying to achieve over the next 4 years to move towards this.”

Cllr Jason Zadrozny, leader Nottinghamshire County Lib Dems Group, said “Unlike the other parties, Lib Dems across Nottinghamshire are out in our communities, every week all year round. We listen to people and we know what concerns they raise on the doorstep. That’s why I’m so proud that Nottinghamshire Liberal Democrats are standing on this current platform, because this is a manifesto for real change in our County, driven by the most important people, our residents.”

“Only the Lib Dems can build the brighter future the people of Nottinghamshire deserve because we are the only party that work with them and for them” added Leon Duveen.
