The Newark local party unanimously adopted David Watts as their Liberal Democrat candidate to fight the Newark Parliamentary by election on June 5th.
Local Party Chair, Marylyn Rayner said ‘ “I’m delighted to have David as our candidate. He’s a good, warm and trustworthy man. He is just what the people of Newark deserve”.
Cllr Peter Harris and local party member said “It’s fantastic that we have an experienced campaigner standing for the Liberal Democrats in Newark. We are a strong team with a record of delivering for residents. Having David on board means local people will have a strong voice standing up for them at this crucial time.”
David Watts, a family man and seasoned campaigner said, “The campaign starts now. I will be working hard, knocking on doors and talking to local residents. I want to hear what people have to say not just telling them what I think.”
