There is no hiding from the fact that our results in both the District Council Elections & in the European Elections were disappointing and worse than we had expected. We would like to thank all those who did vote for us and can promise that we will carry on fighting for Liberal Democrat ideas here in Bassetlaw.

On the positive side the local party is good health, we have grown by over 30% in the last year and are looking forward to selecting our candidate for the General Election in the autumn.   We continue to provide the only active opposition to the Labour run Bassetlaw Council and will try hard to campaign on the issues we highlighted in the election.
